Who we are

Maya QIS was founded by Domingo Alvaro, a native Q’anjob’al speaker from San Pedro Soloma, Guatemala. After a decade of working with the Maya Q’anjob’al communityj providing social and legal services, Domingo launched his own interpretation company to expand his reach and assist individuals and service providers with their language needs. Domingo is committed to providing a seamless, professional experience for both providers and clients.
